The New Regional Headquarters is now open

President Vladimir Burte stood at a large podium in the huge conference all of the new Regional HQ, ready to address jounalists and other regional members alike.
The new HQ was twice as large as the last, designed to look like a giant "Revolutionary fist" when viewed from above and made of glass and steel. Boasting a relaxation area for the leaders, conference rooms for all the different aspects the region deals with, luxury apartments for he leaders and their aides, and many more. It is constantly defended by 500 BGSF (Burtilana Government Secruity Forces) soldiers, with soldiers from other nations if they wish.
The president opened his mouth:
"Welcome Comrades. Welcome to a new era! The 'Fist' is now offiacially opened for business. For too long now A Socialist Paradise has been flailing like a fish out of water, we have had nowhere large or comfortable enough to debate issues effectively. A few nations within the ASP would debate and decide for the whole region, we all knew this was wholey unfair, and an unreal representaion f the ASP. Now though, all nations have the ability to commune with other nations and voice their opinions. The region can now move forward together, as one, under the power of 'fist' and the desicions that are made within her. Now A Sociaist Paradise shall have its' true voice, and it WILL be heard!"
The speech was short but effective, hands clapped and camera bulbs continued to flash as Pesident Burte asked for questions from the audience.

Meanwhile, in the Head-Quarters of the Commonwealth of Humankind Unions' Armed Forces, General in Chief Comrade GriffiN issued a new order, according to which, 2 regiments of his countries SpetzNaz were to approach the Fist as a defense force. In a declaration to the whole country on all TV and Radio channels, he said:
"Comrades! As you already know, the Fist, ASPs' new conference complex, has now been inaugurated by our Comrade President of The United Socialist States of Burtilana, Vladimir Brute. This marks the beginning of a new era of democracy and justice in our region, but at the same time it makes our region more vulnerable to attacks from our external and internal enemies. That's why I have issued an order to 2 of our SpetzNaz regiments to relocate, in order to bring more security to every single delegate of our region. Soon, we will send to the Fist an AA-battery, in order to have every single possibility of attack destroyed.
Thank you for your attention and excuse me for the interuption".

i would have sent troops but as my pround nation is currently involved in five international conflicts

(Oddest thing, in the wake of my reforms, I still have the 5th largest defense forces in the Socialist Paradise. So sorry for not sending in reinforcments, didn't know I had any . Regardless, I still will not be sending in any ground or naval support due to nuclear capabilities of the enemy. Air Support may come in time, only after full scale mobilization is finished and all troops are stationed at my border.)

50 ICBMs are being repositioned right now. We don't think they would be stupid enough to sign their own death contract. 1 sent missile towards us would start a nuclear holocaust on their territory, and I must warn everyone - everybody will be killed.

We're complete pacifists, so we will not be able to participate in any wars or conflicts.

We do wish all luck in defending themselves against lessor governmental ideals, but cannot ever support violence against anyone or anything (except spiders...Arachnophobia scarred me...) If you find nations led by spiders, we might reconsider forming an army.

We will help in the reconstruction process, though, of course.

I do not think we have anything to fear from the Wu missile batteries.

Kalashnivoka has deployed our Genome spies, and they are currently in position to wipe out their nuclear capabilities, as well as power and communication.

Furthermore, a squad of spies are in position to capture Emperor Wu, and several more squads are closing in on his closest advisors. Once all the squads are in position, we can have them.

Normally I, Sovreign Dominator, would challenge Wu to a ring match once he is captured, but he is your enemy more than mine, Jesusland. I shall hand him and his advisors over to you. Do with them what you will.

However, once we take Wu and his advisors, the remaining force will still pose quite a threat. While the Wu GIs undoubtedly are inferior to Kalashnivoka's supersoldiers, or the infantry of the Humankind Union or Jesusland, their numbers aren't to be taken lightly.

The war aside, I greatly appreciate the 'Fist' that Burtilana has so cleverly commisioned. However, I mean no insult to Comrade Burtilana when i decline the luxury suite that he has offered myself. I am not familiar with such luxury; I grew up an orphan and have never desired anything more.

Comrade Griffin of the Humankind Union has already committed 2 SpetzNaz Regiments to the defense of the Fist. I suggest that a barracks be built by the Fist's side to house these SpetzNaz. I am of course willing to see to it's construction, and will devote a heavy armour and helicopter regiment to compliment Comrade Griffin's SpetzNaz units.

I have already addressed the Genometroops that will make up Kalashnivoka's portion of the Fist Guard, and they are looking foward to serving with the honoured and reputable SpetzNaz of the Humankind Union.

During my future stays at the Fist, I would feel more comfortable if I were accomodated with the soldiers. Their spartan lack of luxury is something I find more homely. However, I'm sure that my aides will still make use of your suites.

We would be glad for the creation of a proper barracks, so far both the BGSF and SpetzNaz have been residing in camps within the grounds of the Fist. Two barracks shall be created, with half of each nations' guards in each, with each barrack on either side of the Fist. The addition of Genometroops to the 'Glove' (the guard army, see what I have done there! lol) is greatly welcomed.
As for your request to stay with the soldiers in the barracks on visits, it is allowed, I too, am not used to the levels of luxury that exist within the realms of the Fist, but we looked to make the fist as special and enjoyable as possible, so expended all spare funds onto luxurious finishing touches.

We, the Humakind Union, agree with the motion on building barracks, although We think We should also build bunkers around the "Fist", since the "Glove" is too vulnerable outdoors for enemy snipers and general troops. Also, Our scientists have been working on a new camouflage, which works pretty much as a Chameleon, shifting colors depending on the surrounding area. We promise to present this revolutionary uniform in the shortest time possible, just several days, We hope. The technology we used will be public for every single delegae of every single country, which is part of the "Fist". I salute you, comrades.

I do think that a wall should be built around the Fist, to complete the Glove (or perhaps 'Gauntlet' would be more appropriate). We have troops, but we still lack a physical barrier. I am prepared to build a stone wall 3 metres thick around the entire Fist, with ten metres of height foundations running five metres into the earth, if others would supply the guards to man it.

As for the suggestion of chameleon camoflague for each of our delegates however, i think perhaps we are being a little paranoid. We should be able to walk freely around the Fist without such measures

The 'Gauntlet' would perhaps be a more appropriate name for this project, and the USSB will willingly fund the construction of the said wall, perhaps we could paint propagandaesque and loyalist murials promoting the alliance on the external face. To give it a more friendly feel for the citizens and tourists in the area, so they do not fear the Fist.
I agree the camouflaging of delegates is a little extreme. The Fist is in the heart of the USSB and therefore well protected anyway.

As for any additional guards we may need to fully staff the gaunlet, i suggest that neither of our three nations (kalash, burtilana, humankind) supply them. We already have enough of an imfluence over the Fist; Humankind, Burt and myself in terms of immeadiate security and Burt especially in terms of simple geography.

I fully trust our allies within ASP, and do not plan on abusing any power i may have against my fellow socialists, and if i had to pick a nation for the Fist to be located it would almost definitely be the USSB. At the same time however, others within our alliance would not be unreasonable to look upon me with some suspicion, seeing as i currently have a tank and helicopter regiment surrounding our headquarters and am in the process of commissioning a wall around it.

I support our friend of Kalashnikova in means of influence over the Fist. I think the other states, of which consists our alliance, should also do an effort to bring stability in the country. Also, I must say Kalashnikova should only provide the plans of the wall building, and other countries, as volunteers, of course, should give the men to the cause. Literally speaking.I salute you.

I am glad that my comrades in A Socialist Paradise have the same trust of me that i have of them. Of course, if another nation within our Socialist Paradise wishes to take over in the commission of our wall, they may feel free.

As for what the appearance of a storeys-high wall would do to the scenery of the surrounding areas within Burtilana, i suggest that a mural be painted on the walls' exterior.

I go on to suggest that our neighbour, Revolutionary Times, be the one responsible for the mural. I know that our neighbour is strongly against violence and would not be willing to post soldiers there, and I see this as their chance to make a commitment to our region's headquarters.
